History of the MS Walk Sit Drink Talk:
Right after I was diagnosed with MS in 2002,
I decided to participate in the Birmingham MS Walk.
Thankfully my friends and family helped me raise a lot
of money for the National MS Society, but we never had a lot of people actually come
walk with us. I wanted to spread the word about the National Multiple Sclerosis
Society and I needed a bigger audience.
So in 2004, I decided to try something different. An event with great live music and
the chance to talk to friends while just sitting around, hanging out, not walking 3+
miles in weather that always seemed to be cold and rainy.
Maybe this new event would attract the masses?
THANKFULLY, YES!
